The “Bien Nourrir Nos Bébés” project promotes healthy infant and child nutrition by offering cooking classes to parents, training daycare professionals in the nutritional needs of toddlers, and supporting the development of daycare centers that offer good nutritional services.
Knowledge about the specific nutritional needs of toddlers (defined as children aged between 6 months to 3 years old) can be significantly improved in France. Furthermore, daycare centers are generally not fully designed to suit the nutritional needs of toddlers.
With the support of Danone Ecosystem, Bledina France and its partners La Maison Kangourou and L’Annexe du Kangourou co-created the “Bien Nourrir Nos Bébés” project to design new daycare centers and a baby nutrition cooking center . The project educates daycare professionals about children’s specific nutritional needs at each stage of their development.
By creating jobs in daycare centers and contributing to infant health through appropriate nutrition, the project has demonstrated its commitment to helping parents and children succeed at establishing good nutrition habits during a child’s first 1,000 days of life.
The project was handed over in 2017, and is now independent.
