Olivier Pierredon, General Manager of Danone Sarihusada, presented the Indonesian Warung Anak Sehat project the 13th May in Oxford, in front of over 300 investors, policy makers, NGOs, students and global company leaders. The WAS project had been chosen as project case for the Responsible Business Forum, co-organized by Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and the Mars Catalyst think tank.
Co-created by Danone Indonesia and its local Partner CARE, with the support of the Ecosystem Fund, this micro-distribution project aims at bringing health to children through kiosks, empowering women entrepreneurs while securing a new direct-to-consumer channel for the subsidiary.
The Responsible Business Forum is part of a joint research program on the “Economics of Mutuality” between Saïd Business School and Mars Catalyst . It is within this framework that the Ecosystem Fund is working with the Mars think tank on Mutuality Methodology.
High level key note speeches were finally given by Emmanuel Faber, Danone CEO, and Pascal de Petrini, Danone VP Strategic Resources Cycles, during the Forum, where they shared their perspective on responsible business and fair delivering of financial performance across the value chain.
