Aguas Danone Spain and Fundacio Trinojove join forces to tackle the environmental protection and labor inclusiveness issues through the Renueva project.

Posted by Baptiste Mulliez

The 3rd of April 2017 in Barcelona, Fundació Trinijove and the company Aguas Danone Spain sign a collaboration agreement with 2 main objectives: give a second life to packaging and promote employment among people at risk of social exclusion or with disabilities. This is one of the first steps regarding the implementation of the Renueva project, which is an initiative focused on the recycling of materials in the “Away From Home” channel. The project will allow the recycling of light packaging, those that have a low weight/volume ratio, such as plastic bottles, bricks or cans.

This project is based on circular economy which seeks to give a second chance to the containers that are thrown away in the Away From Home channel. To achieve this, a sorting plant will be built and, in parallel, contribute to the creation of jobs. Training courses will be available for those who face difficulties to enter the labor market.
