“Novo Ciclo changed the way we work. In some places, we didn’t have any material. But we started collecting waste, mobilizing pickers and the society in general. The pickers’ network started to grow more and more. We’ve been through a lot with our association, and we were hit by the economic crisis like everyone else… but we have not given up yet! Obstacles, here we have a lot, but I would like all the pickers to look at their work, to look at themselves, and value what they are doing. To say: I am good, I have the power, I can.
